What is Music therapy?

Music therapy is an established profession that uses music and musical interventions to work toward social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and/or sensory goals.

Music therapy uses music to meet needs. "Needs" can include learning to communicate wants, improving physical range-of-motion of limbs and fine motor skills, finding value in society, or resolving end-of-life emotional issues to name a few. -Kenna Hudgins
