WANTED: MUSIC THERAPIST

We’re looking for an outstanding professional to join the Rhythm-N-You Music Therapy team.

  • Start Date: Immediate (as of July 2025)
  • Hours: Part-time, starting at a total of 20 weekly hours, WITH potential for growth. Weekly break-down: 17 per week direct service, 2-3 related travel, 2-3 hours of preparation/documentation time
  • Salary: Very competitive hourly wage based on experience, including mileage reimbursement
  • Location: Gallipolis, OH and surrounding Southeast OH Region

About you: You’re an Ohio licensed, board-certified music therapist excited about changing lives for the better. You have a creative spirit, a passion for service, and a polished musical talent. You’re also a stickler for detail and a maniac about being organized. You pride yourself on your drive and self-sufficiency. You’re excellent at developing effective documentation methods as well as planning and implementing a therapeutic environment for your clients. You are looking to join a great company where you can grow and stay long-term. And since you’ll be visiting various client sites, you have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

About us: Rhythm-N-You is an Ohio-based company that provides music therapy to a variety of populations in settings ranging from schools to skilled nursing facilities. We are dedicated to providing quality supervision and support to our music therapists. We know that music therapy creates meaningful impact because we see the proof every day.

If you’re not already in the Southern Ohio area, this position is worth relocating for. Gallipolis, Ohio offers peaceful small-town charm and a strong sense of community. Nestled along the Ohio River, it’s a beautiful and affordable place to live, with scenic views, low traffic, and a slower pace of life.

How we can work together: We’re looking for someone who shares our enthusiasm for music therapy and our drive to make a difference. Initially, this therapist will serve primarily the medical/oncology and hospice/geriatric population. Working with these populations means lots of critical thinking, variety, and a high appreciation from clients and their families. Your duties would include scheduling, documentation design, assessment, treatment planning, weekly groups and individual sessions within the various facilities. You’d be required to travel between treatment sites. If you are enthusiastic about increasing your workload to full-time we will work with you to support this growth and allow time in your schedule to do so!

If this sounds like you, let’s talk. Send your resume as well as videos of your musical skills on guitar/piano/voice, and/or questions to director@rhythm-n-you.com.
