Ashley Norris // Director / MM, MT-BC
Ashley Norris has been an employee of Rhythm-N-You since March 2008. In January 2018, she became the company’s co-owner and director. She is a 2007 graduate of Ohio University. In 2016, Ashley completed her master’s degree in music with a specialization in music therapy at Colorado State University. A student of flute, piano, and guitar, Ashley also was the 2007 recipient of the Ohio Federation of Music Clubs Music Therapy Scholarship Award. She was first introduced to the profession of music therapy when her younger sister, who has Autism, began receiving music therapy in 2001. Once she saw the positive effects of music therapy with her sister she decided that she wanted to dedicate her life to improving the lives of other individuals with disabilities, as well as their families. She completed her music therapy internship at Helping Hands for Special Needs in Worthington, Ohio. Ashley mostly works with children and adults with special needs, both privately and in the public school system. Leslie has been with Rhythm-n-You since January 2008. In January 2018, she became the company’s co-owner and director. She currently enjoys seeing patients in palliative and hospice care. Leslie also has extensive experience working at inpatient psychiatric facilities and in geriatric facilities. During her career, Leslie has also worked with children and adults with autism and other developmental delays. She is neurologic music therapy certified (NMT). Leslie earned her Bachelor’s of Music Therapy in 2005 from Ohio University and completed her music therapy internship at Twin Valley Behavioral Healthcare. Grace Butler / MM, MT-BC
Sarah Grace Butler, MT-BC holds a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in vocal performance from Otterbein College and has earned a Masters degree in Music Therapy from Ohio University. Upon completion of her internship at Helping Hands Center for Special Needs, Grace received her board certification in music therapy in May of 2009. Emily Plassman / MT-BC
Emily Plassman is a 2009 graduate of Duquesne University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Therapy with concentrations in psychology and organ performance. After completing her internship at Monroe #1 BOCES in Rochester, New York, she began in western New York for four years providing IEP-based music therapy services to students with a variety of diagnoses, including autism, Down’s syndrome, Angelman syndrome, learning and physical disabilities, and the medically fragile. Emily has been with Rhythm-N-You Music Therapy since August 2014 and continues to specialize in providing music therapy services for children with special needs in the public school system. Megan Hermetz / MT-BC
Megan graduated from Ohio University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy and minor in psychology. As a student, Megan served as Vice President on the 2017 National Executive Board of the American Music Therapy Association Students (AMTAS) and was President of her college chapter. Following graduation, Megan volunteered with the Jamaica Field Service project, where she provided music therapy to school-aged children and older adults throughout rural Jamaica. Megan completed her internship with Annapolis Music Therapy Services, working primarily with children and adults with developmental disabilities. Kaichi Ho / MT-BC
Kaichi has been a Board-Certified Music Therapist since June 2019. She is currently completing her Master of Music degree in music therapy from Ohio University and will graduate in May 2020. Before coming to the United States, she taught school for 2 years in Taiwan. Kaichi has also given private piano lessons. Kaichi completed her music therapy internship at Bethany Village in Dayton, Ohio. She has a passion for working with elderly adults and people in end-of-life care. Kenna Hudgins // Founder / MM, MT-BC
Kenna Hudgins, MM, MT-BC (Master of Music, Music Therapist Board-Certified) holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy from Ohio University and completed an internship at BOCES #1 Monroe special education programming in Rochester, New York. She has earned her Master of Music in Music Therapy degree through Ohio University.
Kenna has been providing music therapy to Southeast Ohio since 2000. In 2006, Kenna established Rhythm-N-You Music Therapy. Kenna has contributed to the development of music therapy through participation in research with bone marrow transplant patients, learning disabled and at-risk children, and individuals grieving the loss of a loved-one. Kenna has been a presenter at various conferences at the state, regional, and national levels.
