Rhythm-n-You Music Therapy has a fantastic staff of six talented board-certified music therapists!


Ashley Norris // Director / MM, MT-BC

Ashley Norris has been an employee of Rhythm-N-You since March 2008.  In January 2018, she became the company’s co-owner and director.  She is a 2007 graduate of Ohio University. In 2016, Ashley completed her master’s degree in music with a specialization in music therapy at Colorado State University. A student of flute, piano, and guitar, Ashley also was the 2007 recipient of the Ohio Federation of Music Clubs Music Therapy Scholarship Award. She was first introduced to the profession of music therapy when her younger sister, who has Autism, began receiving music therapy in 2001. Once she saw the positive effects of music therapy with her sister she decided that she wanted to dedicate her life to improving the lives of other individuals with disabilities, as well as their families. She completed her music therapy internship at Helping Hands for Special Needs in Worthington, Ohio. Leslie Shoecraft // Director / MT-BC

Leslie has been with Rhythm-n-You since January 2008. In January 2018, she became the company’s co-owner and director. She currently enjoys seeing patients in palliative and hospice care. Leslie also has extensive experience working at inpatient psychiatric facilities and in geriatric facilities.  During her career, Leslie has also worked with children and adults with autism and other developmental delays. She is neurologic music therapy certified (NMT).  Leslie earned her Bachelor’s of Music Therapy in 2005 from Ohio University and completed her music therapy internship at Twin Valley Behavioral Healthcare. Grace Butler / MM, MT-BC

Sarah Grace Butler, MT-BC holds a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in vocal performance from Otterbein College and has earned a Masters degree in Music Therapy from Ohio University. Upon completion of her internship at Helping Hands Center for Special Needs, Grace received her board certification in music therapy in May of 2009. Grace has worked with several populations, including children with autism, and youth and adults with physical and developmental disabilities. Grace can be reached directly at grace@rhythm-n-you.com.

Emily Plassman / MT-BC

Emily Plassman is a 2009 graduate of Duquesne University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Therapy with concentrations in psychology and organ performance. After completing her internship at Monroe #1 BOCES in Rochester, New York, she began in western New York for four years providing IEP-based music therapy services to students with a variety of diagnoses, including autism, Down’s syndrome, Angelman syndrome, learning and physical disabilities, and the medically fragile. Emily has been with Rhythm-N-You Music Therapy since August 2014 and continues to specialize in providing music therapy services for children with special needs in the public school system. Ting-Yun Chen / MM, MT-BC

Ting is a Board-Certified Music Therapist originally from Taiwan. She received her Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance from Soochow University, Taiwan, and her Master of Music degrees in Music Therapy and Piano Performance from Ohio University in Athens, OH. Upon completing her internship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Ting received her board certification in music therapy in August of 2017. Prior to joining the Rhythm-n-You team, she provided music therapy to people in a variety of settings, including but not limited to, schools, mental health care, dementia care, and hospice. Stephanie Rinaldi / MT-BC

Stephanie Rinaldi joined the Rhythm-N-You team in August 2023. Stephanie completed her Bachelor’s degree at Ohio University in 2021 and completed her internship at Monroe County Intermediate School District in Monroe, MI. While there, Stephanie worked in a variety of education-based settings with students ages of 3-26. Stephanie has experience serving people with a variety of diagnoses including autism, Down syndrome, cognitive delays and developmental disabilities. Stephanie has also worked at Harbor Oaks Hospital in New Baltimore, MI working in adolescent and adult mental health and developmental disorders as well as addiction. Stephanie has been a board-certified music therapist since January of 2023. Stephanie recently decided to relocate back home to Ohio and will continue her passion working with students in the school system and adults with developmental disabilities. Kenna Hudgins // Founder / MM, MT-BC

kenna-hudgins-music-therapistAfter completing her undergraduate degree through Ohio University in 1999 and 10-month internship in Rochester, New York in 2000; Kenna’s passion for music therapy led her to pursue contract work in Southeast Ohio. The demand for services eventually motivated Kenna to establish Rhythm-N-You Music Therapy, Inc which quickly expanded to include a talented staff.  Once Kenna received her Master’s degree in 2007 from Ohio University, she moved back to her roots in KY where she currently resides with her husband and 2 sons. In 2018, Kenna relinquished ownership of the company. Kenna is currently adjunct faculty with Murray State University and provides contractual services to a regional hospice agency while continuing to offer music therapy workshops and presentations at the local, regional and national levels. Kenna loves experiencing the outdoors in beautiful Western KY through biking, hiking, and taking long walks with her family, yet also enjoys cooking and experimenting with new and healthy dishes. Most of all, the simple life with her family and friends is what brings her joy.
